It’s started lol.
I have had my birds out 3 times this week. They are flying well up and down all day. This evening when I went to shut them up I had a stray here. It is unrung and hasn’t come in yet. Hopefully it will disappear. They do like my place lol. The funny thing is there are no feral pigeons in the town so ...

Re: eye photos on my own
If you put the light on on your phone before taking the photo it would work. But a flash would be the same on both.

Re: for Andy
I would say that would be more of a racer than breeder. The pupil does appear a bit elongated but I think that is because of the appearance of the inner circle. The inner circle is quite wide with heavy serrations and shading between 4&9. It would want to go with an eye that has a more defined i...

Re: eye photos on my own
That’s ok George. It’s interesting seeing them and hope by putting a comment on how view it may help some. What you need for taking good pictures of eyes is a bright light where you are taking it. Re: eye photos on my own
The violet eye is the better eye. The inner circle is nice and deep and wide, full of dark shading. The circle of colouration can be seen much better in this eye. It has plenty of graining. The iris has plenty of room in it. A much better breeding eye.

Re: eye photos on my own
The flash in a camera wouldn’t be any good for taking eye photos. The pupil of the pigeons wouldn’t react quick enough. That is another very full iris. The inner circle is good but you can’t see much of the circle of colouration due to the iris being so full.
