Re: few of this years ybs
I only take all the paper and everything out once per round. Scrape and sweep it all out with a brush, getting into the corners.... It is clean and tidy, but it certainly is not sterile. As Andy says, they need to live with germs, just like we do. The immune system is strengthened by exposure to bug...

Re: feeling better
George, it is great to see you being so positive about how you are doing, but we can see that you are still not 100% yet..
I do wish you all the best as you work through your recovery.
I might just say a little prayer for you.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Life in Bendigo.
:D Yep, Trev, we are. Here's Catherine feeding an adult magpie. It took about 20 cat biscuits out of her hand while I took pictures. We have that horrible plastic tablecloth there because the magpies won't stay off it. At the weekend, my wife has a sleep in. During the week she gets up and sends me...

Re: Life in Bendigo.
I do the heavy work, George, but Catherine is the creator of the garden.
When we built the house it was standing on 729 square metres of clay. And builders rubble.
The garden is a delight, an oasis in a desert.
And my wife made it, with a bit of help from me.

I don't wean them.
They have a feed pot and a small drinker in the nest box. And a bit of the red grit,
They learn to eat and drink and when they are big enough they start jumping out of their box.
Then they can go and join the other youngsters.
They aren't weaned, they just leave home.![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Life in Bendigo.
While I was taking pictures, my wife, of quite a long time, took my hand and we walked around the garden.
It is a joy.
This is our garden, not great pictures, but you get the picture....lol

I have a few veeery late babies, off the good pigeons, because I couldn't bring myself to throw the eggs away.
