Re: Cold and loft flying

I don’t do much road training with old birds but when I do I like a little warmth on their backs, whether it make a difference I don’t know. As for loft flying as long as it isn’t raining they go out, I don’t make them fly so it’s up to them I just get them in when they’ve had enough. The cold never...

Re: Keep cats away

As Andy says, that should help as long as you position in the right place and at the right height. I have to say that the only way I've ever really successfully kept cats away from my garden and loft, was by getting a cat myself !! Thankfully, at the moment, I don't have a problem with cats, just t...

Re: Celibacy system

Last 3 seasons I’ve been playing with a few celibate hens, and been please with them, they won from 70- 500 miles. I used to fly the yearling cock celibate and although they raced ok I used to struggle with them as the races got longer so went back to natural with them. I have a friend who flies ye...

Re: 2 cocks

I have a nest pair of yearling cocks that I have put in my widowhood team. They were both raced as youngsters. They have both taken over their own boxes but also like keeping on billing and cooing to each other. I did remove one for a few weeks and when I put him back in they started strutting arou...

Re: A product i have used

Fanciers should use as little products as possible during Winter. Winter is the ideal time to check the health of your birds for FREE. If a bird is lacking anything or has any unseen health issues, Winter will bring that to the surface. In Nature those that survive Winter are next years breeders. I...
