Had another Hickstead last night 18.45 lib. The temperature had dropped by then and a cool north easterly was blowing them home. My mate said they did fly around for 5 mins before heading home! Got 3 at 7.20, 1 a few minutes later and then four at 7.29. The last two home came at 7.49 which was offically sunset time. I was missing one at loft closure. She hasnt appeared today, nor has my mates missing one. The poor hen that returned with a broken leg and keel damage had to be put down. Tonight my remaining ten are being taken to my mates overnight, for a trainer on a trailer to Chessington 33 miles tomorrow morning. Will train again Thursday morning to beat the heat.

Well done Les πŸ‘ They did well really as the evenings are drawing in now so 6.45 is getting a bit on the late side for a lib !!! I hope the missing birds turn up for you and your mate 🀞 sorry to hear that your poor injured baby had to be put down πŸ˜”
That mid week trainer has been quite popular this year and going on Terry Pay's and Danny Porter's performances has paid off too !! Good luck mate, I hope they come well for you Les 🀞🀞

Birds were released at 9.00am. Got three at 9.45, one straight after. Two at 10.00am. Grizzle at 10.10, another grizzle at 10.30 and ninth home at 11.10am. Missing one. I think everyone suffered with returns today as no one gave Terry Pay the thumbs up when they had them home. My mate had 8 missing at 10.00am, now only two. They good news is the hen missing from Mondays toss came home at 4.05pm. Thankfully she is in good health. Birds have had a long cool bath this afternoon. Hot and humid here.

Well done Les πŸ‘πŸ‘ I'd say that was a successful trainer, especially as it's the first time they've been in a transporter with other fed pigeons, ideal practice for Bovingdon in just over a weeks time πŸ‘πŸ˜ Good job Terry Got them away nice and early considering how hot it got, I hope the missing bird turns up mate. Good to hear the hen from Monday turned up ok πŸ‘πŸ˜ All the best
