All looking good Murray. The cats look very content. It’s amazing how happy they are with a cardboard box 🤣😂 as Banjo is showing.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

That's an interesting thing. :D
We had two cat carriers. We have three cats. So Catherine arrived home with a new cat cage.
We put it on the floor and they spent the next few weeks taking turns sleeping in it.
Put a box on the floor, the cat/cats will get in it.
Try to make a cat go in a box! :o :o

I think that's a cracking little loft mate, spacious, dry and airy, what more could they want 👍😁 Niether the birds or those cats seem phased by all the upheaval 😁

Very warm again, about 39 and windy Then the storm clouds came over, a flash of lightning, and the power has gone off. It rained for about a minute, and it is still thundery.
Cooled down to about 37 feels like 32 degrees and we had a 30 second hail storm just now.
Power might not be on for hours so better try and find where we packed the candles.

Hope it's not to long, reminds me of when we were in Greece heavy storms/rain power and water off for hours, days and weeks sometimes with the water
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud :D :D

At 6.45 pm it's 33.5 degrees, a hot wind and we have no power. No Air con, no fridge no freezer, no water. Not quite true, we have the tank water but that would not make a nice cup of tea.
And the reason? The Greens have forced the closure of the coal fired power stations, and when demand exceeded production for too long, the power grid overloaded and they had to "power shed". 500,000 homes, yes, half a million families deliberately had their power cut off to prevent irreparable damage to the power grid.
Do the maths. About half of the population of Victoria have no power on one of the hottest days of the year.
Why? Because they are committed to destroying the baseline power grid,

Power is back on after about 7 hours. :D :D :D
But now there is the smell of smoke and a lot of smoke in the far distance upwind of us.
Long way away, but we need to be alert.
