I made a bold statement and said that I was all over being sick and up and running again.
I appears I just may have made a tiny little presumption.
I am still sick. Joint pain, muscle pain, pain in all the old fractures, bouts of shivering, etc. I did a Covid test today to eliminate that, so I don't know what's going on. If it was Covid that would be okay, few days and you're over it.
I see the lung specialist about my lung disease on Thursday. Maybe it's something to do with that?
All I know is it's annoying. Very annoying.

Weather man says we could get heavy rain today. Around here could means anything from nothing, to a 2 minute downpour, to water over the road.
So we shot out to St Arnaud this morning. I fitted the door on the loft, and started putting the weather boards back on. The biggest fiddle was finding the bottom front one. They got mixed up a bit being loaded and unloaded.
Once I got that one on and level, using the old nail holes, they went on easily. Put one on, tap it down, pop a couple of nails in. Put the next one on, tap it down, pop a couple of nails in.......
I got a surprising amount done I covered the front opening in case it does rain. Could happen.

Another thing, I like to keep my loft clean, and am constantly on the scraper and brush.
I have found how to really clean your loft. Take to pieces. Put it on a big lorry and have it driven for an hour out into the country. Put it back together again.
THAT's how you clean a loft!

In fact, a good shower right now would be just what the doctor ordered. As you drive along, for miles and miles there's a green tinge on the paddocks, the crops they have been sowing are coming up. A little bit of rain and whoosh! away they will go.

We are in a warm and dry spell but it looks like the rain is set to return again next week.

We went out to the cottage early yesterday, we had to meet a bloke to arrange to have several trees taken down. Having done that I got stuck in and got most of the weatherboards on the loft, the wire mesh up on the front and started putting the back wall vent in. It's going well.
I want to get it pretty much finished, nest boxes, perches etc, and put the small stock shed up beside it. Then I'll wire mesh in between them with a wire door so I can go in without them escaping.
Coat of paint and it will be spot on. It's going back together nicely.
I'll put the Heremans (Billion baby, Trillian baby, Road Runner etc) and the grizzle Thone and the white flight Thone in the stock shed with an aviary. The others I will start letting out fairly quickly, once they are back in their own nest boxes with their own mates they will settle okay.
A little frustrating that I can only do so much in one hit before I hit the wall, but I saw the lung surgeon last week and she agrees that I am better to just keep going as best as I can. If I stop I am unlikely to start again.
