Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

To be honest I've found different manufacturers better at different things

There are things I like about Tollisan, but I wouldn't use their respiratory in a hurry (personal experience)

In my experience the best test for respiratory was to go and sit in the loft at Midnight on a Saturday night in the dark and I'd just sit there and listen for half an hour and more. This is the kind of attention to detail that eludes a lot of fanciers

You should hear silence - but if you here scratching and sneezing then its a sure sign of respiratory and I would act - regardless of the performance just achieved

And as discussed on the "Red Wattles" thread I would also treat for Ornithosis if the birds had raced through rain

Again, irrespective of the performance (good or bad) achieved

What’s the difference between all these things Mike
What one is airways compared to the thick head things and what’s the best treatment or how can the correct issue be diagnosed
I always tend to go for doxycycline as one to tackle all these things mainly as I don’t really know what the different treatments go with the correct symptoms
This is a mild cracking in the wattle area of two of the say 12 I handled before work
It’s like Rice Krispies cereal but very very fant

You could get it unbranded years ago. The best branded one is DAC Pharma Lincospectin 20%

How do I find out what antibiotic fits the symptoms as no discharge , no sneezing, no wet eyes , no scratching just this mild crackle
It seems hard to find a antibiotic that fits that

Ok... Well it all depends how hard you want to hit them

As you're probably aware there's no end of options available to you

Ornithosis / Respiratory tract infections often go hand in hand with each other

So, there's a variety of options available

You "could" use a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment like Baytril (By the way there's nothing wrong with Baytril. It's developed a dirty name because of fanciers misuse of the product - that misuse is not the fault of the product)

On the other hand if you wanted to avoid the antibiotic route and go a different way you could use something like Broncho-Plus from Pigeon Vitality.

"BronchoPlus is a well-balanced formulation based on different natural essential oils based on peppermint, eucalyptus oil, and menthol. The composition of BronchoPlus helps the pigeons to decrease the amount of excessive mucus in the respiratory tract"

Probably hit then hard
I have put yellow drops up the wattle to check the mouth goes yellow
So does that mean the tubes are clear or could they be narrow with dry muscus that not visible
