What’s members thoughts on this product
I have never really used unless years ago I may have as a one off as it was the in thing but I can’t say I have given it a proper trial
If you use it what brand do you prefer and what’s actually in it
Sedochol
According to Dutch champion Ad Schaerlaekens:
SEDOCHOL
Sedochol is a registered product (so it can"t be rubbish) with as main components methionine, choline and sorbitol.
It is "for animals of which the digestion is aggravated or isn"t functioning properly, or when they have a bad molt and it is soothing for the liver.
For pigeons, Sedochol is a good product for shows and sales.
When you put Sedochol in the water for 3 days some 10 days before a show or sale, and after an interval of 2 days again for 3 consecutive days, you will be amazed how soft the feathers will feel.
Although you can"t expect miracles regarding achievements, it is about the best product for the mold I have ever come across.
Give them one third of a tablespoon in 2 liters of water.
Now, Ad is very sceptical of nearly all additives, he thinks they are pedaled by those more interested in the fast Euro than the fast pigeon. But on several occasions I have read where he has recommended Sedochol. That's good enough for me.

Some people are always looking for the proverbial Alchemists stone that will turn them from a run of the mill fancier into a super star, there isn’t one particularly at the distance, all that is required is a fully balanced diet adjusted as necessary, good animal husbandry and HARD work all the rest to coin a phrase is propoganda
What’s a balanced diet for sprinting boom boom that would be of interest to me as I don’t knowBowbroom wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:14 am Some people are always looking for the proverbial Alchemists stone that will turn them from a run of the mill fancier into a super star, there isn’t one particularly at the distance, all that is required is a fully balanced diet adjusted as necessary, good animal husbandry and HARD work all the rest to coin a phrase is propoganda
And we always get back to feeding. People win feeding all sorts of mixtures, and various champions feed different ones. Jerry Plus, Thone' Olympic, Natural, Van Robaeys, Vesele Laga, all are "balanced" feeds and pigeons win on them.
Take your pick.
Things like sedochol, in my opinion, don't make pigeons go faster, but they may promote good health. Good health is the starting point to success.

Thought it was a forum to ask and discuss things other wise it would be a dead site wouldn’t it . Looking back on old posts it nearly was so surely it’s better to have active subjects but I’m cool if you rather I didn’t try to get the site going and you can go back to your WhatsApp group type site with5/6 blokes posting good morning to each otherMurray wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 11:03 pm And we always get back to feeding. Anyway
Thone Olympic I think even beyers advise to add another mix to that I believe one of there galaxy ones for sprinting Murray so your advise would be different to the manufacturers
Absolutely, Neil, and it's great to have new members like you keeping the conversations going. I said we always get back to feeding because, we always get back to feeding, Sedochol and similar things are fine but don't replace good pigeons and good feed. But good pigeons first, always.
No, I would not advise against the maker's advice at all. But in the finish you still have to trust your own judgement, I think.
