Looking like another difficult weekend

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

The forecast for this weekend isn’t looking good again. Sunday looks the better day so could well find racing moved to Sunday. Either way ours are going to have a fresh headwind to contend with, which is quite usual for down here in the West Country this time of year.
The numbers in our combine have certainly dropped the last couple of weeks. 3 weeks ago the combine sent 2269 birds, 2 weeks ago it was down to 1836 birds and last week only 874 birds were sent. Numbers could be up a bit this week as is a comeback race but along with myself a few of our members are not flying with the combine but with the 3 counties. Plus it’s the BICC Guernsey this weekend.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

The next 3 days aren't looking too special !!
We've had a message from our Fed Secretary today, they are going go make a decision tomorrow, but it looks likely that we will be going Sunday !!!

Yes Trev, we just have to ride the storm. If we can get a race on Sunday even better.. The health of the birds are paramount, lets get them home safe and well.

If it’s Sunday I will send the lot as that looks dry this side

Hello NeilA, I'm sure you'll make the right decision, not worth the risk & loosing next year's yearlings.
Best of luck if you do send, probably Sunday will be the better day.
Regards Dave.

Good luck to everyone sending. Mine have now finished for the year they‘re just to far into the moult. The mission was to give them some race experience and steal a couple of wins from the professional young bird flyers. Mission accomplished

I think the Irish will race Saturday; but Sunday does look the better (certainly drier) dry over here
