A study demonstrated that racing pigeons with the T/T genotype showed significantly better racing performance in long distance races compared to those carrying G/G. This test determines which alleles are present and the possible outcomes are G/G, G/T and T/T.
I've just retired a 4 year old hen to stock, she's scored well on the road and two good places at 520 miles once 13hr48 on the wing only 5 fed birds on the day and once at 11hrs 45. She has tested AB for LDHA and TT for CRY1
