I've been wanting to get the babies out of the loft for a few days, but we had to go to Bendigo, and then we had a few hot days. It's not a good idea to let the little ones out when it's getting very hot.
After the rain cleared today I put the youngsters in the sputnik and opened the front. They wandered out, had a flap from board to aviary to the ground and up and down. :D
Finally they were on the sputnik looking a bit lost as to what happens next. So I let the old birds into the sputnik with their feed, and all the babies found their way in the bars.
So that's round one! All out and in. Now they know that it should be easy.
Apart from the hawks. There's plenty of them
Greetings from the land down under. :D

Thats good news mate, as you say that first time out is always a worry.
I hope they do well and that the hawks don't cause too many problems.

I let the babies out about 3 o'clock. They fluffed about for a while, looking very nice in the sun :D

Then they had a zoom around the back yard and landed up in a tree where they sat for two hours  I wasn't worried, in fact it was good that they settled down and had a good old look at the world.
