Yep, Roadrunner would probably stick, he's been in and out a couple of times. The thought of losing him gives me sweats. 
So, I have a cunning plan.
Our back yard was heavily overgrown when we bought the place. Trees that had never been trimmed and a blanket of rubbish growing on the ground.
So we've been felling trees so the pigeons can find the loft and using more Glyphosate herbacide than I ever thought I would use.
It's cleaned the place up, but we have had a dry summer. The back yard is dirt.

I am putting the baths in the sputnik and the aviary, because that soil just turns to black mud when wet. I reckon if I can get the youngsters and the old birds out having a bath, the Roadrunner and the other couple of stock birds will have a chance to get out.
We bought some ready grass to put in the cat enclosure. 12' x 4' cost Au $45.00
For less than $100 I can put a nice grass area in front of the loft so they can have a bath and lie in the sun. It'll take a bit of water until it's established but I am happy to do that.

Anyway, while the forum I have supported for a long time is doing it's Titanic act 
, I have good news and good news.
I have 8 babies weaned, and I told the blokes in Horsham they can pick 6, I will keep the 2 he leaves. He's coming tomorrow. It's nice to be confident in the quality of your young birds that the one's they don't want. they are good enough for me.
And the Grizzle and B$B hatched a strong pair last night, and so did the Slatey Janssen and the 666. Awfully late, but you can''t thow eggs like that away.
It's still warm here and the pigeons are in great order so it's all very good.

The youngsters have been flying 60 to 70 minutes every morning, including the younger ones. Because there's no need for them to be super fit now I give them a day in the shed maybe once a week or 10 days. If it's going to be very hot for example.
They are getting well into the moult, I notice a few bare faces and rough bodies. Also yesterday I noticed they flew 50 minutes instead of over an hour and again this morning.
Nothing wrong with them, so i wonder if the body moult does place a bit more strain on them than I thought.
