Good to see you getting them fitter Neil, not bad returns for 19 mls, will go again tomorrow hope for a free run back tomorrow before the weather turns.
You going today mate
I just got the hens away
South again from work just 15 miles
I may give the cocks a loft fly tonight instead of a trainer as I don’t think I will get away today in time
Left the bath out for them normally that’s only on a Thursday obviously trained instead yesterday .
Hope yours come if you are able to train
Yes Neil, going to go it's been overcast at the moment so just waiting to see if the sun is trying to break, will only keep them short again maybe 10mls.

Not ideal today
Warm enough but not loads of blue
I was lucky I was able to stick the drinker on my hens in the van and first bit of blue I had them out

Superb mate, but I think this will be my last Caribbean now. I’ve done it 5 times in the last 10-12 years now
Early June I’m in Dubai, late June in Italy then August in Scandinavia before Madeira in November.
well jealous must be nice to be looking forward to them
Yea, the Italy one wasn't exactly part of the original plan. That came along later due to a family wedding
I'm gonna hand in my retirement next November.
I'll be 56 then and I don't wanna travel long-haul as an old bloke. I wanna do it whilst i'm still fit and mobile. So I reckon do a bit of travel for 4-5 years then I'll be staying nearer to home. There's not much of the world left that I haven't seen that I want to see.
Looks to be nice early evening hopefully get out then
The cocks will be priority now every sunny day and the 7 hens will have to just fit in when I can after losing the weekend with rain and mist
Saturday looks another wet day so after work it is even if very short to the clocks change
I still can't get mine out so training is definitely off the cards.
I did try them again Saturday evening, more than half the birds still wouldn't come out, the ones that did were very nervous and spent very little time away from the loft. I only left them open for about half an hour, I didn't see the hawk and by the time I called them in they were showing signs of becoming more confident. I will try them again one evening this week and hope for the best, the hen will soon be on eggs and out of circulation, so hopefully in another week or so they will be back on an open loft. Our first race is the 19th, I'm not bothered about the early races, they are my training so I'll be sending a team regardless.
