I am home again today. I went to work yesterday and did some office work but after a while I was going downhill again. My staff sent me home and forbade me to come back until I am better. The virus seems to be affecting my muscles and joints. If I do too much the pain becomes unbearable.

Anyway, I have had more time to potter with the pigeons the last few days, which is good. They seem to appreciate it. Any time I go in the shed I have pigeons all over me, and they are doing well. Last night at one point there was a big bunch of youngsters flying way up under the clouds and going like the clappers. That's the first time that has happened this year.

These are a nice pair of babies. Their father is the Blue bar white flight Jos Thone' cock, their mother is the Melbourne 600 mile hen. They are better than the picture shows, very nice youngsters indeed.

All of a sudden this afternoon I feel better. Pain is gone and i feel like a beer!

However I look in the mirror and it's scary. Face is gaunt and my eyes look very tired. It's given me a bit of a hammering.

At least I am not shuffling around bent over like a half shut pocket knife.

Got the boxes out on the table and I am about to give the big youngsters some hamper practice for the first time. Oh how quickly they grow!

Sorry to hear you have still been suffering the effects of covid mate, I have to say that after 3 months my breathing and fatigue still haven't fully recovered and I only really felt shit for two days 😔😕
Good to hear that you have been able to spend some quality time with the birds though mate and that the babies are flying well. Those are cracking looking babies, I particularly like the Chequer in the front.
I hope they do well for you.
