I gave the shed a good scrape and sweep, and got the vacuum into all the corners and cracks.
There is a hen in a cardboard box in a corner on a pair of dummy eggs. The box is full of feathers. I thought I would chase her out and clean out the box.
She never moved.
I had to vacuum around her.
The shed looks very good now. I have had a couple of things to deal with, Covid etc, but I did let it get a bit average.

Nice and clean mate, didn't know you had the dreaded covid, hoping you are well and recovered now

Yea I got the Wu Flu back in November i think. I was pretty crook for a minute. I have emphysema and it got to my lungs.
It has left me with a bit more trouble breathing but other than that I am fine.

Sorry to hear that mate, I hope your breathing improves mate.
The loft is looking good, I really need to get the vacuum cleaner into mine too. I was planning on doing it when I replaced the roof but sadly haven't been able to afford to do the roof yet and now I've started breeding I'm not sure when I'll do it 🤔🤔

No, my breathing won't improve. What I've got, they can't fix. But it's not too bad most of the time.

I clean the loft twice a day, and at a quick look it doesn't look bad. But it was surprising the amount of muck I sucked out of that small shed!. I had to empty the vacuum cleaner 3 times :o

Trev, you can only do what you can do. Summer is around the corner for you, so I wouldn't worry too much about the roof until the autumn.
Anyway, if the roofing sheets are still good, you should be able to re use them, which will be a saving.

Hmmm I think I'd have to empty a few times if I tried to get into all the hidden spaces lol 😬🤣😂

I agree Muzza and will probably wait now, I think I could probably use all but two of the sheets so that will definitely save me a bit 😁👍

I went out to clean and feed the champions this morning, opened the loft door, and there were feathers everywhere! :o
Mainly down feathers off their bodies. And covert feathers off the outside of the wings.
Not sure why, but I did give them another toss on Friday. So they are getting pretty fit. Then yesterday they had their chopped vegetables as usual and garlic and cider vinegar in the water. Also the days are drawing in rapidly.
Anyway I did a quick clean out and fed them. I will go out with the brush and try to gather up the rest of the feathers shortly.
