Sorry to hear you've been having problems mate πŸ˜” there is no rush on my account so don't panic, hopefully they will settle down more once it warms up again🀞🀞
Do you have foxes or cats around mate ?? The only time I've had issues like that before was a couple of years ago when somthing unsettled the birds over night and I lost a whole round of eggs !!!

Not sure what it is to be honest, if you can recall had it happen in past as well that's why I put down to fighting

I do remember you having a problem a couple of years ago Buster. I’d be surprised if it was fighting with so many eggs broken/left especially overnight. Could have the odd one go in the wrong box but not to the extent you seem to have had. I would say it’s more likely to be something external than internal where the birds sitting have panicked. You would also have seen some signs of some of the birds having been fighting. Although it does sound that it could be something getting in the loft but if that was the case you would think that what ever it was would have been after the pigeons. Unless it was something like a snake after the eggs. I don’t think rats would do that.
Same as Trev. No hurry here if you would rather wait until a bit latter.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

This is something that has me utterly beat.
I have pigeons which would breed under water. I think I have had 2 or maybe 3 eggs have not hatched this year. 99.99% fertility.
My pigeons live in small sheds which are nothing special. Except for one thing.
Where we live we have cats and foxes and snakes and rats coming on and off the property every night. They leave signs.
My loft has 1/4 inch mesh with fly screen behind it in the back vent.
The stock shed has fly screen behind steel mesh.
The Gordon box has 1/4 inch mesh and fly screen....
All the sheds have solid ceilings to keep them warm and stop snakes and rodents from getting in.
I cannot remember ever having eggs broken or abandoned. Something is upsetting those pigeons. Badly. :o
I have seen pigeons which have had a bad scare go back on the eggs after a while, it is instinctive.
Buster, what you have had is very disappointing.
This time.
If it happens again, you have a problem.

.
Greetings from the land down under. :D
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.
