I use to write everything down what I fed but 2 years ago I was in hospital from early Monday morning into A and E to 3pm Thursday with a tachycardia ( heart rate 173)
Anyway I had to ask my sister to feed my cocks so they had a ounce of barley once a day no loft flying
I was home about 5pm Thursday so I let them out and fed them ounce and a half gerry plus
On the Saturday I had 1-2-3 club 4-6-7
fed so I thought if I went by my records I would never have fed that way for the week
Made me think instinct week to week maybe better or even luck

Very interesting mate, thanks for sharing.
As you say, instinct and stockmanship are both crucial in helping to get the best out of our birds.

Few yrs back I was racing I was getting in first 20 of fed each week but the back half of fed I thought I was doing things correctly but when I looked in my diary nothing was precise everything was nearly correct not correct so since then it's super strict n structured each day.
