I love this eye
I will give my views in full when I get a bit of time. But it is basically a bull eye, which is very common in birds with a lot of pied. Nearly all fantails have a bull eye. It is basically a lack of definition of colour and linked with the pied gene that is also a lack of pigmentation in the white flights.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
Its an eye that does nothing for me
But having said that I'd never buy a bird based on its eye
2 things alone make a good pigeon - What's in its head and what's in its heart. You only find the answer to those by testing thoroughly and stop making excuses.
My advice to anyone would be look for as many winners in the pedigree of your pigeon as close as you can get them.
That way you're not trying to reinvent the wheel by asking them to perform well
I never met a "good eyesign man" that could beat me on a regular basis, Never
I don’t understand your post Devo sorryDevo1956 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:26 pmNiel, there is a subject i would not like to talk about. In the study of the eyes, but it did take place, A very sad case for many.
Mike i do agree you have to have a good pedigree, but also for a work mans price.MIL wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 6:30 amIts an eye that does nothing for me

Like we always say, we will all have views on different subjects. What some people see, others may not. and that is where you can pick up a bargain. In the sport today, what i do hear is that it cost a lot to buy some good pigeons, yes i agree but if you dont look you dont get. Also some people dont agree that a pedigree is important, Well again that is their view. Just my view.

Nothing against a working man's price but none of the parents or G.Parents have raced
Then the buyer will put this to Stock - that's 3 generations untested on the road
Your chances are just diluted of getting a real good bird
