I am sure there will be a good few bidders on this hen Neil. someone will take the chance i am sure.
I can find you better buys than that for a lot less money
There are some nice youngsters in the auction, from this hen and prices are going up on these. Just see what it goes for Mike.

It all seems a bit of a minefield to me. I really wouldn’t know where to start buying from auction sites?

That would be great! The last time I tried to buy stock birds was when I was 15 - saved up and paid £25 (in 1975 and I got 75p per week paper round money so it had taken me a while to save). Turned out I bought two cocks and they paired with each other and wouldn’t separate!

I'm approached on pretty much a daily basis on where can I buy this and that or can I recommend where I can get this/that

My advice is always dictated by what the client wants - so once I know that I can try to help as best I can

Thanks Mike. I’ll take you up on that at some point if you don’t mind, but once I know what it is I want! I’ve got some birds coming my way in the New Year which will enable me to make a start. It’ll probably be this time next year before I’ll have got back into the swing of things again to understand what I have and what I’m missing.
