Never raced for money king it doesn’t interest me if it was about money I would just go to work another day and not race on a Saturday

I had more respect for my birds than to ask them to race in December in poor conditions

It was £3,168 the Christmas race was flying for. The winner takes £837.50. The loft in 8th,9th,10th and 11th wins £39.50, £603.50,£352.50 and £34.50.

So if the prize money is sufficient, it’s ok to race in bad conditions leading to unacceptable losses? With attitudes like this is there any wonder the game is in massive decline and animal sports are under attack, the organisers and participants in this event (it wasn’t a race) ought to hang their heads in shame as their actions may well help to hasten the demise of the sport

been reading few old BHW stud books so your saying it's ok to have a hard race with heavy losses because it's in the race season in one race only a handful of birds in race time from 6000 and one i'm reading now 80 birds in 3 days from 3100 so that's ok

At all times the heath and the safety of the racing pigeons are Paramount.
