been around them all my life caught "the bug " off dad we race together now just nationals and classics
The sport of racing pigeons, over the years my love for the birds as grown more and more. Being told for health reasons had a big impact on my life, that I could not keep my birds any longer. So they all had to go, which changed my life for a while. Days of wondering what I was going to do, my thoughts was OLR racing, I had done this before when I had my birds. But now it was a case of finding someone to breed youngsters for me, this is when I made contact with Christoph and Leon in Hoxter Germany. I also took a trip to Germany to visit their lofts, It was a really good trip, and a chance to see some really nice birds, the spieker family made me feel very welcome. The 5 youngsters was bred for me from the Spieker family loft, then went on to the German classic OLR.

So I felt things are moving on and I was getting that buzz again, on the site I was finding out more about OLR in Austrilia with Murray. Things moved a long after some chats with Murray, I have become part of a project with Murray. He is working on extending the loft for future breeding, We will be breeding for OLR and Money ring racing, I also had the chance to take a trip to meet Murray and Cathrine. I was made welcome at their home.
I must say this project is a great feeling, just being part of being involved in the sport again. It as give me a lift in life, something to look forward too. So it is great to still be part of the sport we love.
