what may be the case Andy they are too slow and need a new cross my birds are large to handle

I don’t know George whether I am anywhere near right but I’ve been giving it a bit of thought. I was thinking you would say that! I wonder whether the birds that survive the rigours of OLR are more likely to be distance pigeons and the distance on the final race is of little consequence. We know that sprint pigeons will be burnt out well before the distance pigeons. They take longer to recover from a hard race. Often after a hard race the distance pigeons will be ready to go again next morning. Sprint pigeons take a few days to recover.
