I can see these propositions being lost because the majority of fanciers won’t even have had the chance to have their say. Certainly heard nothing about it around here apart from on this forum.
I hope it gets through.
The two clubs I am a member of in the West Midlands have asked members for their votes.

However I do feel there maybe some confusion as to what people are being asked to vote on.

To some who have not been following this proposal, it's being touted as a vote between remaining as we are, or for the RPRA to be run by 5 people :/

Surely Bowbroom intended that the "collusion" has come from the region by not having holding a meeting!
I haven't been co-ersed by anyone nor have I colluded or conspired with anyone.
Ian simply wrote what I and many others couldn't, how can you call that collusion. Its what we wanted to happen.
Bowbroom you yourself have said on this thread that we are all entitled to our opinion.
Is it possible that you may be showing your true colours after all. The only "collusion" going on is with the RPRA and the regional officers

OMG. I can't believe that this is really the lengths that they will go to, to protect their own existence.
Who are these people!!!?
Someone please tell me they can't get away with this.
What can we do to counteract such outrageous actions?
Lets name the officers concerned on social media and ensure the general fancy know what is going on
People with this mindset should not be able to govern anything. They dont have pigeon fanciers interests at heart only their own pathetic self interest but then some of us knew that anyway!

Is it the council member from our region, SW, or the regional secretary who is at fault for not informing the clubs and members in our region Ian?
Both these can be found on the RPRA website in the RPRA rules.

Both I would say Andy, the secretary has been doing the job long enough to made it known to the councillor that a meeting / date must be made & all information about the said rule proposal's should have been made well in advance to all clubs so they could at least discuss it with a view to have a vote & a mandate yes or no.This is not acceptable to anyone that's a member of the South West region .

It is the regional secretary’s responsibility to ensure that the requirements are carried out although the President should ensure that procedures are followed although there have been instances in the past where a secretary has been instructed to the contrary by the President, if any SW region member is so minded I would recommend that they communicate their concerns to the Association CEO with a copy to the President
Council are not in breach of rule 38, I would respectfully suggest that it it read again.

It's hard to point the finger of blame at an individual but surely it has to be the region committee that are collectively responsible in this instance.

Just a question for you Ian, and not a catch question.

If you were to be running the the RPRA, what do you feel you would need to change for the the best of interest of the members. Looking at staff levels in order to get the RPRA back on track.?
Also is there a need to change how the format of regions can become bigger, to help in the future of racing. looking at bigger combines of more clubs coming together.
I think we need to go back to the the framework that was set out, with the need for change. Your ideas can help in a big way.

If we are talking about regional structure in relation to racing then I think there are many positives to having an approach to racing based on a Geographical approach with mass liberations. This is something I raised as a discussion point while CEO. However, if we are talkling about a regional structure as it is in terms of Governance them I firmly beleive (based on what I have experinced) that it is the regional structure that is to blame for the issues the RPRA face financially. Im not referring to the cost assiciated witt running them but the decisions that are made and the motivation for those decisions. The regional Governance structure needs to go and be replaced with a far more efficient cost effective and modern process.

Staffing levels definitely need to be addressed. Something that was started in 2020 but it seems has been reversed. However, this can only be addressed by adopting modern processes.
As I have said earlier on this thread it's not the amount we are paying to the RPRA that is the issue for me. It's what it is being used to fund. It is in my opinion wasteful. I want to see a strong functioning RPRA that will benefit the sport and its members.
