So, no disrespect to Marley here King, but just to clarify your comments
You say
My birds are based on birds that WON
Did Marley ever "Win" an Open at Classic/National/NRCC level?
I ask as I do not know but you emphasised the word WON
His birds won in club/Fed/Sections in National. What's your point Mike?

The 15 Lerwick wins were in his section of the nrcc I believe ?
I don’t think his south rd performance were that impressive when you look at M bulled at tarbes over the years flying not to far short of Marley
I'm sure there are many fanciers that have better performances than Marley.

You said your birds were basedv on birds that won - and you stressed the word WON
To me, Section winners are birds that win their Section, but with respect they aren't "Winners" - that's my point
I guess we just set the bar in different places.

Yes
I picked Mark as he’s not a million miles from Stotfold. So a comparison

Fair point
And as you well know Neil, people are pinging in big time performances very regularly (including 1st Open BICC etc in 2024) with the Bulled blood

That’s my thoughts

Being a fancier from the South one thing I will say is that there is a lot of dog legging, dead time flying put in by a lot of the pigeons down this way not giving a true indication of how many miles that have actually flown. This doesn’t really happen to much with the longer flying northern flyers. It doesn’t matter so much where along the coast the hit land they are still flying north. If for example in a south west wind our birds from down this way hit land in the South East they would then have to fly 100+ miles along the coast against the wind and all in dead time.

Like the padfields in the Bicc races compared to Kent
There must have been many times there birds crossed two hours ahead only to be beat

Where you set the bar Mike is up to you. But how do you feel about winners of 2B or Gold rings? Are they winners? A well known friend of yours claimed them as National wins?

Nice deflection King - it's taken you a while to think of that
In my eyes they aren't "winners"
There's a convoy, there's a liberation, there's a winner
Simples
And as it happens, the birds of Mark Evans (who I assume you're referring to) have won many a true National as you may know
In fact, the 1st Open NFC Tarbes of 2024 is of Mark's bloodlines
Maybe that floats your boat enough?
