Last year I had 35 young birds and a 7 slot sputnik. From a toss I could get every pigeon in the loft within 30 seconds.
I dunno, they just seemed to get the urgency when it started to matter :D
Need to be quicker than that Murray
It must be different over there. Where I am only the first one over the clock is counted for the win. If you get 35 in 30 seconds, you might get 2, 3 .4 ,5. 6 etc.

My ybs have food there for first two weeks they still trap as its fear that’s started the system more than food
On the board before they can fly so they feel a bit scared of being out
Open the trap and they shoot in
I don't know if its fear, love of the loft or what it is, but I know the late Des Coulter did everything as naturally as he possibly could. His birds were kept on an open loft, day and night, fed ad lib with beans in the hoppers at all times, but he could call those birds at anytime of the day and they would be in that loft, not as quick as those videos, but he still had control over them.

From weaning age all my youngsters are put in baskets outside the loft while the old birds are coming and going as they please. I'll leave them out there all day and when it comes to feed time, I'll put feed down in the loft, blow my whistle, and put each of the babies through the trap. This way they get to associate leaving the basket with, trapping and feeding, it mostly works for my purpose.

Same here but you get points per position so you need like 30 fighting to get in if you get a drop
Under a second a pigeon really on days like that

I can’t say about ybs but when I Bean fed my old birds on the hopper they trapped for treats as you say Trev not like the boys videos but not like sat hanging about either

When you have birds trapping well like we've seen on those videos the biggest issue is birds failing to scan on ETS

They should be like flies around sh!t - and they fail to scan because they are literally jumping over each other to get into the loft

That's when you know you got them right
