A tough race but well done, Trev. Third loft to get one one on what was a shocker.
I agree with Andy. Lets hope plenty more of the missing ones get up and get home soon.

WD Trev. Seems like a batch got out front and the rest had a single toss from 295 miles. I clocked at 8.20 , but after speaking to the secretary decided not to strike off as the first five positions had already been taken. I don't drive so it would of been a hour on the bus to the club and then another hour back. 7/8 had birds on th day. I'm pleased with my hen, as this was her prep race for Elgin 489 miles. So she will get three weeks rest and back on eggs for her final race of the season.

Well done Les your hen did well under those circumstances, hopefully that's a good warm up for Elgin

Yes looking at the first 10 in the fed there was certainly a batch that got away from the rest and didn't get dragged too far west !! A very big well done to them

I hope you got some more home today mate.
I ended up getting another 8 home today so have 10/15 the later ones have certainly flown some miles !! The disappointing thing for me is that I only got 1 of the 4 yearlings I sent

I also had a bird back today from Wetherby two weeks ago, he is absolutely done in bless him.
All the best mate

I've not had a stray in for a while now, last year I was inundated with them but have only had a couple this year.

I've had 4 in this week a fantail, 2 tumblers and a unringed young racer, the fantail and 1 tumbler still here every morning I shoo them off but they return every night to roost on traps

I feel your pain with that one mate as I get half a dozen or more regular visitors every day lol, trouble is being a pigeon lover I can't help but feed them lol

Well done Les, not bad considering. Its frustrating that the yearlings haven't turned up, hopefully they will work back once these storms pass

I've had another of my yearlings back today so have 2/4 now and I've also had my pool/Nom bird reported in Radstock Bath, apparently she has been hanging around since Saturday and although the fancier who reported her has been trying to discourage her from entering the loft they decided today that she was too hungry and weak to head for home so let her in. Luckily Andy knows the couple who have her and is going to collect her me on Wednesday, thanks bruv

I've just got 2 yearlings missing now and a 5 year old cock who has flown further including Bordeaux !!
