You're Fed numbers this weekend show the battering the Fed took the week before

It's likely there's still a lot missing, and/or those that returned late weren't ready for this weekend

I hope the numbers improve because a Fed sending less than 200 birds is surely unsustainable?

You won't need a wagon to go to the 200 miles race if this carries on, an Estate car will do!

Tell me Trev, from Upper Hryford it looks like there's only a couple of hundred yards between you and Alan Still (in distance flown)

I "imagine" he's not just a couple of hundred yards down the road from you is he?

Where is he in respect of your loft? How far N,S,E or W?

Yes Mike, the Federation did take a battering and unfortunately very few birds have made their home. Some members have called time on this season, some just took last week off and some are waiting for the last 3 races.
The Federation committee has made the decision that members will be charged pro rata for the rest of the season as we lost money last week, that has been quite an emotive decision this week with the fed being split as to whether this is fair or not, but at the end of the day we want to race our pigeons so those arguments will be up for debate over the winter months.
Our 200 mile race has been cancelled this year so Melton Mobray is going to be our longest race at 133miles.
To be honest Mike there isn't much difference in the distances for any of us in our Club
and since going North there isn't too many miles difference between the whole Federation !!
There is about 9 miles between me and Alan, and there is about 54miles between Alan, who is one of the Feds most Westerly fliers, and the Federations most Easterly fliers. But from most race points there is only about 12 miles between the distances across the whole Federation.

This is the distance between Me and Alan.

This is the distance between the federations most Westerly and most Easterly fliers.

I hope this makes sense Mike !!

Fed should be decided on wind being that wide Trev but I see Alan on top most weeks

You would think so wouldn't you mate, but results have shown all season that it isn't the case !! Our club have topped the federation several times against the wind, the interesting thing for me is the spread of birds right across the fed. Regardless of the wind direction. there haven't been many weeks where all 5 clubs hasn't had at least one representative in the Federation top 40.

That has certainly proved to be the case this season Mike.

Surety the drag and wind do or people in bad spots would win the fed if they are decent

The other week Trev we know that your Fed (like many others) had a horror race

Saturday's racing was a lot better, but I still can't get my head round your Fed result

Birdage is low I know, but there's like the guts of 20 mins to cover the first 40 from 80 miles

In my book that's ..... well, unheard of in our part of the world
