You must be kidding - the EM region cant even put together an acceptable balance sheet. Strange that is when any basic club in the country can produce one.

And what a shambles the East Midlands region was, democracy wasn't carried out at that meeting. And got to say the South West meeting wasn't much better, a very poor turnout, lack of any guidance from the committee. CEO turned up at the meeting I wonder why or how many regional meetings he's turned up at around the country. For the region club's either didn't discuss this at club level at all (not interested) or couldn't be bothered to send any representation with a mandate or at least show some kind of interest .You wonder how bad things have got to get before people actually engage with this process & I've seen firsthand under the current system how bad it really is.

Well I can tell you now I was at our regional meeting on Saturday. A senior council member is on the committee and as true as I type this he said absolutely nothing on the subject of propositions. They were got to on the agenda and voted on accordingly. For what it's worth the propositions from the EM and Wales regions were unanimously voted against.

I think I’ll respond in the manner you have employed in the past on this thread, you are fully aware of the duties carried out by region secretaries and committees which if your propositions are carried will have to be done by the CEO, the staff or the Executive Committee in the future

Just for some clarity I'm against the propositions but I'm not someone who's totally against change and I definitely feel some level of change is needed, just for me not to this degree. And I don't feel this 'everything can be done online' approach is good enough and it's a bit of cop out to detract from the undeniable work done by region secretaries and committees. The vast majority of this sport are of a certain age many aren't computer comfortable and have no desire to be.

Another thing in the present format all regions feel they have a voice. What under the new proposals is there to stop one region having all the committee members?

Despite what has been assumed by some, even though I’m past 3 score and 10, I’m not against change as long as it is beneficial and manageable as do you apparently Goose.
The proposers of these changes have the absolute right under the current rules to make them but I fear that while a tremendous amount of work has gone into composing them, not enough consideration has been given to the ramifications for an ageing membership.
Still all will be determined on Friday.
