Settled in quickly Murray. I take it that is the hen you’ve just picked up?

This is the Heremans hen 666. Not a very good name, for obvious reasons, so I have called it Tay Tay after Taylor Swift.
This is a nasty piece of work too.

Look what we have in the garden!
Beautiful white healthy ones, and tame. They've only started coming in the last week or so.

Had a hell of a fright yesterday. I looked out the window and saw the loft door wide open.
Tore out there and saw a pigeon on the sputnik trying to get in. I quickly slid the cover across and the Roadrunner Heremans dived in and back into his box.
Quick head count and they were all there.
I have two overlapping pieces of fly screen hanging down inside the door to discourage them from flying out but the Roadrunner must have gone under it. Hes never been out since we've been here so that made me feel sick when I realised who it was.
That'll teach me to CHECK THE DOOR!

Must be lovely having such wildlife in the garden.
