It took a while to level the site and put the concrete piles for foundations down, but we got the loft floor down yesterday. Young Mick the builder had to do most of it, the breathing was not good yesterday.
Pleased to have made a start. The walls will go up easily and then Mick will put the roof back on.
All good!

I got a missed call at lunchtime from young Mick the builder, asking something about how the loft went together. I called him back and he said never mind, he'd sorted it out. I told him we were just getting in the car, I would see him in 20.
When we got there, the loft was stood up and young Mick and his father, Mick Sr, were hoisting the roof on. :o
I should mention that Mick Sr is the senior Police officer in St Arnaud. He's on long service leave and is doing renovations on his house too. He's a kiwi from my home town, his wife is a kiwi from Christchuch, where Catherine is from. :D
He helped young Mick to get the ceiling panels on then went back to his renovations with appointments made to 'do coffee'. Nice bloke.
So I helped Mick to put the iron on the roof.
When I asked him what I owed him, he just shook his head. "Na, it's all right", he said, and grinned. I asked him if he has a beer, as a box of beers is always an acceptable return for a favour here. "Yep", he said.
How great is that?
So....

Great to see it going back up Murray. Won’t be long before you’ll have the birds back in.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
