I would say to clear any doubts a blind treatment won’t hurt as now there be pretty much antibiotics free for 5/6 months after

I have an old hen who has rattled for years. Treated with a few things but nothing made any difference, just the way she is. Still flown the channel 6 times.

No not really Neil. You can hear it easily even if not holding her. It’s not a grunt like you get some pigeons doing it is a real crackle. When exercising she often flies very high and on her own.

This would be my mentality.

For 40 weeks of the year they get next to nothing of note in terms of treatment/antibiotics

But for 12-13 weeks of the racing season I need performance, not excuses. and I know full well the administration of the right thing at the right time can and will give your birds a lift

I'll give you one for free here

Never once have I not got a good performance after using MOXIDECTIN

I give it for 24 hrs on the Monday and on the Saturday my pigeons always excelled

It's not something you wanna get using a lot of, but once a season I saw a noticeable uplift in performance

I've passed this tip onto other close fancier friends and they've all excelled afterwards too

Both the hens are not with me anymore
One was a non racer the other a yearling that hadn’t scored
Totally get it might have been nothing
But I treated with doxy blind 6 weeks ago then the tollison product this week
I could actually hear it more today in the pied hen

Probably cruel on my part
well it is cruel but it’s done now

I was thinking play safe with the team
Had it been a top performer then maybe I would have thought twice
I just couldn’t see a bird winning with it and I know Andy got his from France a few times but I just thought what would be the right thing to do going forward
