I see that 1447 pigeons were timed from that trainer, so about 180 are missing, injured or aren't there for some reason. About 10% of the pigeons originally entered. That's probably about what you'd expect to lose from a big number of pigeons from all over the place.
Any loft that lost 10% of the young birds would probably think they were doing okay.
Thanks Muzza :D
That doesn't sound like an unreasonable percentage to be lost at this stage, I'm guessing some of those would have been lost just around the loft, as well as from the first trainer !!
I need to lose at least 10% of mine or I'm going to need a bigger loft lol, and new neighbours

In fact they started with 1633 pigeons and say that 1632 pigeons are still on the system. So there may be some with issues that didn't go to that toss.

Another great win for Herbots, a very nice bird for the breeding loft.

Whoa!

The first clip was Herbots
The other clips were from other fanciers who may have been somewhere ending in stan.

Don't you blokes turn your heads on before watching this stuff?

Anyway, The Meadow race had another training toss today. From 20 miles.

Our 'Free Beer' was 58th bird timed 49.27 seconds after the first one timed. So she was in the first bunch.
From 1425 pigeons timed up to now that was a good result. A very good result.
The youngster appears to go very well.
First prize in the final is Au$100,000.
That would be alright :D
