We went to Bendigo today to run some errands. First stop was the grain store to buy some feed for the Duifs. When I was at the counter a bloke came up and asked if I had pigeons?
Yes, I said.
He told me he was an ex racehorse bloke and was wanting to get into pigeon racing. I wished him luck and left him to it.
Ten minutes latter I was buying a coffee at the big hardware store and he walked up again. Small world :(
Anyway, having heard this bloke's life story I now have another one who wants pigeons from me next year. Anyone would think I'm some sort of expert breeder or something.
Catherine was getting the fidgits and I finally swapped numbers and told him to give me a call! :D
The asked how on earth he knew I had pigeons.
I reminded her that she bought this for me.....

It was a nice warm day here, and when I went to give the babies their lunch I found a couple with their heads in the drinker pretending to have a bath.
So I put the bath in the sputnik and let the old birds have a splash first, and then the babies started climbing in and splashing about :D
There was water everywhere  but I scraped up most of it with the scraper and pan and it was all dry in 15 minutes.
Good youngsters. Very smart and quiet and doing very well. I'm pleased.

Good to see them having a good bath, when it's warm. Then out and about and flapping their wings,

That's good, they do love a bath. My birds are kept in at the moment so don't get the chance for a bath, I often find they've tried to bath in the drinkers :? :?
