I do that too, I tend to grab the door handle at the top or the bottom, where it may not have been touched so much. I doubt it does much good. :lol:
Working where I do, I early on decided that I was going to worry myself sick over masks and gloves and sanitiser. With my bad lungs the masks made me sicker because I couldn't breathe properly, the sanitiser made my hands split, and as soon as you touch anything gloves are contaminated anyway.
So I just didn't do any of it. Washed my hands regularly with antibacterial soap, that was about it.
It took what, 3 years to finally get a dose of it.

You did well to escape that long, I use the antibacterial soap as well always have even before covid we are possibly on our 3rd dose of it now 2nd for definate and to think the first year I shielded for most of it as advised by those in the know and still got it that one was very bad for me even worse for other family members as I posted about previous
