That will be a shame Les but as you say they have been well schooled. Fat eye is prevalent down here also. We have another club that bring their pigeons up our headquarters to be put on the transporter. This week 2 birds were removed from their crates with fat eye. One couldnโt even open one eye. How they were ever marked like that I donโt know. It may have been pecked in the basket making it worse but should still have been noticed.DarkPiedCock wrote: โTue Sep 12, 2023 7:50 pm Excellent trainer from Redhill 26 miles today. Birds home in 30 mins, inside the loft within 20 secs. Downside is, some are showing signs of fat eye! Its rife countrywide i read in pigeon paper, also a couple of club members have stopped racing due to the problem. Im really disappointed, as they were flying a solid 60-75 mins every morning, plus a trainer as well. Positive is they (13)have trained well and have had a night away from home and released from a trailer. Ive another five that will be trained over the autumn, so should have a decent sized team for next year.
