Our birds arrived in Hexham at 1pm, it was raining with a South West wind. Tomorrow looks good enough for a steady race, as long as the West wind isn't too strong 🤞🤠
There are 1950 birds in the Combine, good luck all, especially the birds.

How was the race Trev
It was much quicker than I expected Neil 😬😕
I thought 7hrs would be a good one so when I got my first bird in 6hrs 42mins I thought I had a good one, the cock bird I got first was 4th club from Hexham last year and 3rd Club from Perth, my 2nd bird turned up about 20minutes later, he was 2nd club for me from Perth last year.
I don't think their can have been much strength in the wind with the speeds that some of the birds were doing !! Returns were patchy and clearly some broke away from the rest very early in the race. I had 7/18 when I went to the club and another 3 when I got home at half 9, so have 10/18 now. I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't do better and that I'm so many birds still out, never mind, onwards and upwards 👍🤠

This is our Club result, well done again to Danny Porter, it looks like he'll be 4th Federation, we won't know the combine result for a week or two.

This is how my birds came.

Hopefully I'll get a few more home tomorrow 🤞

I wouldn't be too disappointed Trev. You weren't that far off them, and we never know what happened on route. I would say the first few were in a front bunch and were flying a tiny bit quicker or straighter.
Greetings from the land down under. :D
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.
