I did see on ome video that with the side lights and one above that the flash isn't needed on the camera, it might have been on the clip I posted, there are a fair few of them lol.
You take some great photos anyway mate especially of their eyes so I shouldn't worry to much.

the last photo Trev i did not use the flash Morgan takes the eye photos next time he comes i will get him to take the bird photo

She looks a nice hen George. That’s not a bad eye but the inner circle could be better. I would like to see it wider and deeper. It is more of a racing eye than a breeder.

Lovely looking bird again George, I agree with Andy that the eye is quite ordinary but would go nicely with a nice violet eye
