I never really got into the model rails but did love seeing the one they had running in the toy shop we used to go to as children, Dad, Adny and brother Francis did used to have a model railway.
I also remember our Grandad having one we used to play with, I think they are still around somewhere.
One of my customers has a full on railway set up in a brick shed in his garden, it has a bar style entrance that when closed makes the circuit with him in the middle.

Yes we had the OO gauge up in the loft of the house. Dad then down sized to the N gauge. You could get a bigger layout in a smaller space with this gauge. When I moved here our next door neighbour had a layout in a shed plus a larger gauge layout running around the garden. There was also a big layout in the back garden of a shop down the road that ran through tunnels and over bridges.
We have had a model shop open up in the past year just over the road from us.

Catherine gave me a N scale train set for Christmas many years ago which got me started. I played with N scale for a long time. When I decided I would like to bet back into it I wanted something different. Everyone has 00/H0.
0n30 is 0 scale running on 16.5mm 00 track. The equivalent of 2'6" narrow gauge. It's big so you can really see the detail and the narrow gauge means you can fit it into a moderate space. I like it.
