Great to see everything coming together nicely for Muzza, it does make things so much easier having an understanding wife who is happy to muck in. My wife has Fibromyalgia too, so although I can't say I know how she feels I do have some understanding of how hard it must be for her, and yes, I'm afraid my poor abused body is getting pretty worn out too

The lofts look great and it's good to see the birds settling in nicely
It will be great for you both to finally be able to relax and enjoy your new home.

Another busy day.
After breakfast I put the hens and Gordon and Squeaker in the boxes and took them out to St Arnaud. The hens were a bit skittish after me taking the cocks away the last couple of days. I had a bit of a job catching a few of them. I hate having to grab pigeons.
I put the hens in the loft or the stock box according to their mates, except for one which is on the wrong side. I have to put it's mate over from the stock shed but he won't let me near him and I will just have be patient. They have been in the chook shed all year and even the quiet ones are a bit flighty.

When I took the second load out after lunch it was heart warming. A lot of them were in their own boxes and looking as pleased as a dog with two tails.
I have removed some old hens and some of the cocks will have young mates this year, but I reckon they will settle down quickly.

I have been fortunate in having the shed to put the pigeons in, but the project has taken far longer than planned, and I am so pleased to get them back in their home

Apologies for not replying, Andy, but the last few days have been a bit of a blur...
We will be moving into the cottage on Thursday, ready or not! It is like a bomb has gone off, there is stuff everywhere, still no bathroom, but all the plumbing is replaced and ready, and the boys go in tomorrow morning to start putting the walls and tiles and shower and vanity in. They are not worried, but I admit I panic at times.

All the best for your move Murray. I’m sure it will be all worth it in the end. There are some cockatoos that will miss you.
Then time to relax and a well earned rest.

I got up early and after a light breakfast I headed out to St Arnaud.
I have 10 pairs of pigeons. After only a few days four pairs are back in nest boxes, not always their old ones, and two younger pigeons have paired up and are making gooey eyes at each other in a corner.
This is pleasing, as those two could breed anything!

On the theme of top shelf performances by flyers over there, David Cox topped the Combine again yesterday, for the third time in 4 weeks. The bloke is running red hot.
