Always difficult if you have to get to work & nobody to get pigeons in, I'm retired but have the same sort of problem, if my pigeons get a clear run back I'm usually pulling up on the drive, I'm not back before them because of traffic .
I don't like the pigeons pecking about in the garden & trying to get them in asap but it's difficult I don't like leaving the trap open either so I can't say how long they have been back before I get them in. I'm clocking in on a T3 on race day's, would be easier on ets I could set up a training flight & clock themselves in that way to get some ideal time wise on training times.

It’s not ideal mate
I only had the ETS the last 3 years I lost the combine by a few seconds to a ets user and that made me get it my club was all t3
I know what you mean about traps left open last year I moved a feral cat on that a neighbour bought home from his yard I was very restricted last year June time to I solved the issue the bloody thing would jump on the fence and get up on the loft
I could only train when a member of family would open then close the trap just before and just after they were home
I couldn’t go out and leave it open at all
Years ago I had a anti cat trap when I worked away the birds soon got use to it but only one bird can use it at a time

I'm just glad that they make it back from training, with Peregrine's close by it's always run the gauntlet every time, just got to enjoy the pigeons while I still can but it's hard on your own training, think you tend to worry if any are going to be taken at home before you actually get back, a lot to be said for partnership's in pigeons.

So at the risk of asking the obvious question Dave, why not go ETS ?

Hello Mike, the club that I used to fly in had a lottery grant at the time & used the money to purchase Bricon ets this must have been more than 10 years ago, I had a problem when taking the pigeons for marking for NFC race, when the clock was plugged in it just had a high pitch sound & couldn't use it nothing on the screen.
The pocket clock had a fault & after 10 year old clock I think the battery have had it's day, so have used T3 ever since, to be honest Mike my pigeons haven't performed how I would of liked them to, you now all this so think that's down to me/ mindset, health of pigeons in previous year's making the same mistakes.
Regards Dave

First team came well 34 min 27 miles
2nd team 4 at 45 min then split all singles but 1 pair everything late was straight off the line of flighy where they should be on Saturday
I can only guess went up with south roaders then turned and held the line
Both teams didn’t even half circle when liberated which was good just strange why the 2nd messed it up
No injuries
No training tomorrow late working day and weather looks poor at first light
