King removes patronage from RPRA

Dear All,
Following the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II, I sent a request to Buckingham Palace to ask if HM the King would continue as Patron of the Royal Pigeon Racing Association. Today I have received a letter stating that this request has sadly been declined due to his Majesties workload.
Therefore, please ensure that any reference to the HM the King or the Royal Patronage is removed from any letterheads or advertising we send out.
Regards
Chris Sutton CEO

I wonder who else will lose it? The RSPB should be one and the Royal Mail should be another.

As soon as PETA got their hands on the kings birds at Blackpool that spelt the end of his patronage, “workload” was a back door way of getting rid of a potential “hot potato “

Was always going to happen. The king would be much more for the RSPB than the RPRA.

As has been said, it's not surprising, but very disappointing.
And I think it is a slight on the memory of the late Queen, who so gave her patronage to the sport so so long.

Surprised that it’s not on the website?

Does that mean that the Royal needs to be removed from the RPRA and be known as the PRA?

It was posted late yesterday so I presume that the offices were closed and Chris must have sent it through to organisations that have the Royal patronage or something to do with it, as I see on the NFC website where it says Patron it’s been replaced with “TBA”

And so the world takes yet another small step down hill.
Queen Elizabeth was more than pleased to support a sport loved by so many of her subjects, and own a loft and compete with them. The message was pigeon racing is good, and so are those who are involved.
In a couple of sentences, the new message from the palace is, no you're not.

You might wonder what this has to do with me? Remember, I am a subject too.
