My old "Assassin" (see below)

I purchased him as a YB in 2000 and raced him (He was a Direct Son of "SHADOW" x "EBONY")

He was 1 of 2 that we sent in the Staffordshire Moorlands Gold Ring Race as a YB. We were 1st and 3rd but he won it by a couple of minutes winning close on £1,000

I stopped him after his 2 MNFC performances as a yearling because I thought he was too valuable to me to risk losing

I was right too - I mean one daughter of his "MEGS" was responsible for birds to win over 105 x 1st prizes - and I stopped counting those years and years ago. My "Champion Eddy" comes through "MEGS" and "THE ASSASSIN"

Nice photo. If taken on your phone holding the phone upright, portrait, they do appear on here on their side. But when clicked on they do show right. If taken holding the phone on its side, landscape, it is right on the forum and when clicked on. Don’t know why this happens. I have asked Chris a few times but don’t seem to be able to change it.

Great photo Mike, and the bird shows plenty of class.

Cheers

That Blue Pied Cock, if I was to write down my best 75 birds of all time I doubt he'd make the list

I appreciated his effort on the day though
