can't believe that a grizzle cock paired to a hen from Steve and Paul just weaned the 2 ybs he has left the hen and taken up with his daughter

I had the same thing happen his year too, George. Never seen it before.
I put the stock pair in the other shed and locked three small youngsters in that nest box. That put that idea out of their heads. :D :D

I had a pair of hens pair together and nested in the youngbird loft during the winter when separated. When I put the hens in with the cocks they still paired together and took over a nest box in the racing loft. I had given them a pair of pot eggs. When they came off the eggs one of the hens let one of the spare cocks into the nest box and won’t let the other hen back in. She has now relaid with the cock.

Why are you undecided George. With 2 Grizzles paired they do tend to breed whiter offspring.

I've got two cock birds that are paired together but have also taken over joint responsibility for another pairs eggs πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜£ I think it's this new modern society we live in πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
