Looking back over the years, what were your thoughts on the family of birds Stickers-Donckers ?

Dirk Donckers has shown himself an exceptional sprinter

First as Stickers-Donckers and now Van Vugt-Donckers

He flies ever so well

Most famous pigeon is "Wonderboy" (1st Nat. Ace KBDB) but most the best birds go back to "Stamvader" x "Nestzus Witring"

A very big sender (sometimes 100+) I think this is largely why he doesn't carry the same level of respect in the UK as say Van Den Bulck, Staf Boeckmans, Jos Cools etc who are all small team senders

Yes Mike, from the start teamwork was very important. And Their breeding was quality, some very good reading on this family of birds.

From a "commercal" perspective the UK have never gone daft on them - but no doubts they're a talented sprint pigeon in Belgium

Good dose of Heremans at their base

It is a name that pops up from time to time, we used to have a member on the old forum, PVDMR, who had them and did very well with them. He did offer me some back when I was just starting up again, but at the time I wasn't able to take them, I kind of wish I had.

I am holding out for a good auction, its coming up in December mike. I am hoping to get something out of Crack 19 to be honest.
