Well it is coming to that time of the year, my question to some members. If you had a choice to bring in some new blood, in your breeding lines. What family of birds would you add.?

I would just find pigeons that win at the distance I want and try to get as close to the best ones I could .
I would prefer them to win in the uk myself although I know a lot of our winners win abroad first there are other strains that failed in the uk
So a successful loft in the uk at the distance I want no particular strain but also I wouldn’t want pigeons that only win at 1500ypm as on the north we get a lot more headwinds and 1300 ypm races

Great feedback Neil, i agree you need bloodlines with different distances, But also with the will to win in any race conditions, it is just finding the right balance for racing.
Which then gives you further thinking of future breeding.

Great lines of a really good family of birds, I am sure this would be a great addition to any breeding loft. Like always, it is just finding these good quality of birds Leon.

Drapa tend to have a pretty bad reputation in Germany a lot of people here think he's a scammer and most of his results are from cheating. I personally have 3 birds from him from the Porsche and Kittel lines but other then that I personally wouldn't trust anything from his own blood lines. I do see where you are comming from tho its just that most people over here are not the biggest fan of his

Yes Leon i understand, and it is like what we were talking about. German breeders and flyers have their own thoughts on the type of birds that are a household names over there.

I am currently keeping an eye on 4-6 cocks which all auction end in about 4-7 days we will see. we will see if I manage to get one of them. I also want to buy back the pigeon from the German classic that I raced with the 8th on the 2nd hotspot and 70th in the final when it comes to auction in October.
