Well it is coming to that time of the year, my question to some members. If you had a choice to bring in some new blood, in your breeding lines. What family of birds would you add.?

Great feedback Neil, i agree you need bloodlines with different distances, But also with the will to win in any race conditions, it is just finding the right balance for racing.NeilA wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 11:32 am I would just find pigeons that win at the distance I want and try to get as close to the best ones I could .
I would prefer them to win in the uk myself although I know a lot of our winners win abroad first there are other strains that failed in the uk
So a successful loft in the uk at the distance I want no particular strain but also I wouldn’t want pigeons that only win at 1500ypm as on the north we get a lot more headwinds and 1300 ypm races
Great lines of a really good family of birds, I am sure this would be a great addition to any breeding loft. Like always, it is just finding these good quality of birds Leon.Spieker-Loft wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 3:52 pm Great question there. I think id like to get some birds from W.A de bruijn in my loft from the Murphys Law line
Other then that id also be very interested to try out some Tom Van Gaver Pigeons from the Finn Line
Leon, i like the look of this bird. some very good family lines.Devo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 4:38 pmGreat lines of a really good family of birds, I am sure this would be a great addition to any breeding loft. Drapa tend to have a pretty bad reputation in Germany a lot of people here think he's a scammer and most of his results are from cheating. I personally have 3 birds from him from the Porsche and Kittel lines but other then that I personally wouldn't trust anything from his own blood lines. I do see where you are comming from tho its just that most people over here are not the biggest fan of hisDevo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 4:57 pmLeon, i like the look of this bird. some very good family lines.Devo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 4:38 pmGreat lines of a really good family of birds, I am sure this would be a great addition to any breeding loft. Yes Leon i understand, and it is like what we were talking about. German breeders and flyers have their own thoughts on the type of birds that are a household names over there.Spieker-Loft wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 5:31 pmDrapa tend to have a pretty bad reputation in Germany a lot of people here think he's a scammer and most of his results are from cheating. I am currently keeping an eye on 4-6 cocks which all auction end in about 4-7 days we will see. we will see if I manage to get one of them. I also want to buy back the pigeon from the German classic that I raced with the 8th on the 2nd hotspot and 70th in the final when it comes to auction in October.Devo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 5:49 pmYes Leon i understand, and it is like what we were talking about.
