Yes the country we left 20 years ago no longer exists. It is now a woke left banana Republic.MIL wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 6:40 am See New Zealand are banning the racing of Greyhounds

I can see the attraction to that kind of racing DevoDevo1956 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 8:54 am Greyhound racing is all about the bookies, many tracks have gone in the UK, I remember racing the flapping tracks, self trained racing at the time. Traveling to open races up an down the country, I done this for a few years, A really good sport being a trainer of your own greyhounds. I also raced them under NGRC at Belle vue Manchester, trips over to Ireland going to trials looking for some top grade pups. Sorry to say another sport gone, but great memories.
Yes Neil, it was good to have a pup that comes through training, doing well in its trials. Then hitting the races, puppy trials and build up on progressing to the top. Hard work but kept fit with all the walking.NeilA wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:15 amI can see the attraction to that kind of racing DevoDevo1956 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 8:54 am Greyhound racing is all about the bookies, many tracks have gone in the UK, I remember racing the flapping tracks, self trained racing at the time.
