This is just what we need :? Another breeding pair of Falcons on along the South Coast :(
I'm all for preserving nature of any kind but we really do need to let nature find it's own balance rather than keep on messing around with it. If one species dies out so another can thrive then so be it, that's nature and evolution !!!! It makes me made that certain well known individuals (who I won't name) but think they know it all constantly blame agriculture and persecution for the demise of some species but don't consider that it could actually be down to nature itself. They drive forward the preservation of predators such as these and then blame the farmer again for the sad demise of our song birds, do they not have the brain capacity to realise that the more predators that are around then the fewer prey there will be for them !!!!

The raptor fanciers have the idea in their heads that the things are 'critically endangered'. They have rocks in their heads. :ugeek:
I don't know about where you live, but here you cant drive very far without seeing one, and I see them right in the city, big falcons circling at chimney height.
I agree, they are a part of the natural order, but there's so many of them they are disturbing it.

Unfortunately its the same with so many things, its the do gooders who think they know it all that upset the balance.

It certainly is a big problem over here now. Fortunately I don’t have to much trouble around home but I know there are some close bye. I was talking to a fancier who lives fairly close to me at marking this morning and he said he is having trouble. He had 2 killed just yesterday. Another couple of fanciers only about 4 miles from me have a problem with the peregrine and just lately a goshawk has been having a go at their birds.
