I think this ia a topic that will have mixed views, so what are members thoughts. When they are putting up a photo of their birds, is it a natural photo or do you like photos enanced? I have been working on some photos on gloss print photo paper, I must say I do like the outcome.

Natural photos of birds for sale I wouldn’t touch one that’s not natural anymore
If a fancier wants a touched up one of a champion for his own wall etc like people do pets then i understand that

I've always been a bit half-soaked with photo's of my birds really
The only ones I had done (as a rule) were pigeons that had "won" something significant and were awarded the photograph as a consequence of the result.
Having said that there were plenty that I never bothered having done - "Champion Eddy" for instance. He never had his image done. I knew he wouldn't appreciate it so his wishes came before mine.

Definitely natural for me. Don’t like the photo shot or touched up ones. Not a true reflection of the pigeon.

When I was in the sport before it was a badge of honour to have a picture on your wall of a fed topper by a chap called Anthony Bolton I seem to remember. I don’t suppose he’s still doing it?

Anthony Bolton photos were excellent in b&w but not that good in colour. He used to touch up them up. Louella used him a lot. His colour photos were false colours. I recall being at Louella many years ago at saw the picture of 'Shy Lass' in the photo it had a green ring. But the bird was bred in 1975 and should have had a BLUE ring. To this day when I see a colour photo of a bird I always use the ring colour as a reference point. If the ring is the right colour, the bird will be.

This is what my pingwings look like.
You may like them or not like them. They haven't been cut and modified.
I like them, anyway.
