In 2019 Gary Crawford, of Liverpool was 1st NW Sect, 1st Open MNFC Bordeaux with a Bricoux hen 'Red Anfield' which was flown to eggs after ten days single sitting, flying 614 miles sending just 2 birds.

How’s the fancier flown in nationals since or previous with this old family

Much of what you wrote there is right King

But when Gary won Bordeaux he wasn't in Liverpool, he was flying to Tarleton in Lancashire, about 20 min from Preston

I believe the Chinese, the Germans and especially the Americans are very keen on 'pure' strains. In America you can still find "Pure Sion" pigeons advertised.
I'm not a great believer in it. When you look at the latest strains coming out of Europe, they are made up of the best pigeons from the best lofts. They aren't 'pure' anything.
The Heremans pigeons contain a large dose of the blood of the 'Olympiade '03' from Gust Janssen. The Eijerkamp pigeons have pigeons selected on merit, not strain.
I like a good pedigree showing lots of winners close up. But the brand doesn't worry me so much.
