Only came across this yesterday, so the breeding pair at the church in St Alban's have had there eggs smashed by someone apparently walking across the nest box, didn't show any film of this happening, just said the web cam footage had been stopped, looked at the following comments & pigeon fancier's are being blamed.

The original footage was on YouTube showing the legs of somebody walking over the nest. It has to somebody with ACCESS to the nest. To suggest it's some random bloke doing it is absurd. Unless he's Spiderman.

These webcams at Peregrine nests OFTEN go off air. The main reason is to remove pigeon rings from them, they just disappear from the nests each day. Maybe those in charge also check the eggs to see if they are fertile? If they aren't, they need a reason to remove them so the bird will lay again?

Maybe ,not sure seems a lot of cunning when they don’t seem to need public support anyway they already have it

They have the support, but they what to hide the fact that racing pigeons are taken in large numbers.

I recall a piece on TV when a Peregrine was nesting at ICI in the North East. The reporter was talking to the 'expert' who was listing what the birds eat (never said racing pigeons) and whist talking bent down a picked up a ring and put it in this pocket without saying anything. When the 'expert' had gone the reporter was talking to the workers. The workers said they didn't mind the birds being there, but said they left a mess of dead birds including lots of pigeons with rings on.

I don’t doubt that King totally believe you
Not sure if it’s really a answer to my post though regarding the video
